Women and Children Pandemic Food Security in Bali

As the pandemic continues, the devastation to Bali’s tourism economy worsens. Many people have lost jobs and returned to subsistence farming to survive.

All donations must be processed through the Global Giving website, Please follow this link to go to the Bumi Sehat project on Global Giving

With tourism unlikely to return for 2 more years, food security is becoming a serious issue. Women and child health is of special concern. Bumi Sehat has developed a delivery program of regular food packages which meet the basic nutritional needs of mothers and children. We have a funding shortfall to run this program for another year.

Bumi Sehat is delivering regular food packages which meet the basic nutritional needs of mothers and their children. The package contains eggs, oil and rice if families have access to land for growing food, or with added vegetables for people who have no land. While delivering the food, the Bumi Sehat team also offers free medical checks and distributes good quality vitamins, further reducing the impact of malnutrition, and catching any potential medical problems early.
