English Teachers

Bumi Sehat’s Youth Center offers free conversational English classes to local school children aged 10 + through an after-school program.

As a volunteer English teacher, you will be teaching students who are eager to learn and succeed. With the help of our Balinese teacher aides, you will have the opportunity to assist these students in gaining valuable skills that will boost their confidence and enhance their ability to find good jobs after they graduate from school.

Our fee is $550 (USD) per 4-week period. The fee covers your housing and local transportation to the program site and back each day.

Volunteer Schedule
  • Volunteers teach classes at the Youth Center Monday through Thursday from 3-6 pm.
  • Students will also be expected to devote a minimum of 1 hour per day to class preparation, including going over the curriculum and preparing class materials.
