Masterfully birthed in a tub
Ibu Juniarti, having her second baby was in the birth tub, pushing. We scattered flowers in the water and sang the Gayatri mantra with Juniarti’s mother and husband, as the baby was gently born.
Due to the large episiotomy that Juniarti suffered at the hospital when her first baby was born, she had a large tear. Bidan Suastini sutured it masterfully. “Thank you for numbing me first,” was Ibu Juniarti’s tearful comment, as she was being sutured, while breastfeeding her baby, smiling.
