Sulawesi Earthquake & Tsunami Relief
Update: Donations to the Sulawesi Earthquake & Tsunami Relief can now be made at our Disaster Relief Fund page here. Thank you to everyone who has given generously so far.
September 28th at just after 5pm, an earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale, and subsequent tsunami, devastated the Palu (population 350,000) and Donggala (population 300,000) regions of Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Since that Friday, 27 earthquakes over 5.0 and dozens more aftershocks, have continued to destroy the region. Buildings still standing are unstable. The sandy soil in the region is giving way to liquefaction.
Bumi Sehat is working with IDEP Foundation, Kopernik and Direct Relief, to bring help to the people of Sulawesi.
Donations can be made online here or directly to the Bumi Sehat clinic in Nyuh Kuning, Bali.
